It’s already the ninth day of January. New Year 2020. I’m slowly opening to the new but before the new comes I still want to close, finish and appreciate with great gratitude what has passed.
The year 2019 was really special – very busy and full of new experiences.
I sold my first bottle in April. All friends and acquaintances acquired Cydr Aksamitny with great joy. In May, people important for me attended the official opening of the ciderhouse. In June there was the first in Grudziadz and the first for me wonderful Jarmark Spichrzowy fair. At the turn of July and August I took part in St. Dominic’s Fair in Gdansk and was welcomed warmly and with great interest. Dominic’s Fair in Gdansk and was welcomed warmly and with great interest. October was the month in which the pressing of the juice and setting took place – the 2019 cider vintage. In November there was a local wonderful Sweet Accordion Festival and the Cracow industry fair – ENOEXPO, where I met wonderful women – members of the Women and Wine Association. At the end of October I also took part in one of the major industry events – Warsaw Wine Experience. In November there was a local wonderful Sweet Accordion Festival and the Cracow industry fair – ENOEXPO, where I met wonderful women – members of the Women and Wine Association. December was all about Christmas presents – the best are of course in the form of cider.
Throughout the past year I met many wonderful people who were open to my product. Retail customers as well as restaurateurs, store owners, people in the industry. I am extremely grateful to all of them for their interest and purchases. Last year was feeling my power, satisfaction coming from the creative process and the reward in the form of financial influx.
Although Cydr Aksamitny is a niche product, it entered the difficult Polish market for craft ciders with spectacular effect. It met with a warm welcome. I am happy that the circle of his fans and tasters continues to grow.
